In recent years, nonprofit organizations have played an important role in Puerto Rico's emergency response and long-term recovery. Without a strong third sector, the essential services it offers are not guaranteed. We believe in the importance of investing resources in the human capital that oversees and is responsible for the execution of the important services provided to the vulnerable communities of Puerto Rico.
Recognizing their value and commitment, ConPRmetidos has developed a series of 10 workshops aimed at strengthening the third sector accompanied by hours of technical assistance to put what has been learned into practice. The workshops will be accompanied by printed materials/brochures. Organizations will also receive more than 10 hours of technical assistance to apply what they learn. A total of 30 organizations will be impacted.
This project seeks to strengthen organizational leadership and its boards of directors, ensure financial stability, identify fundraising methods, develop strategies for recruiting and retaining volunteers and maintaining jobs, and promoting the development of a permanent disaster emergency fund.
This effort is part of our Collaborative Impact (CIP) program and is made possible thanks to funds allocated by the United States Department of the Treasury, "American Rescue Plan Act” “Coronavirus State Fiscal Recovery Funds", through the Advisory Authority Financial and Fiscal Agency of Puerto Rico (AAFAF).
