Puerto Rico, the sixth-largest U.S. school district, is in crisis.
Local educational impoverishment has left our middle- and high-school students feeling unprepared for future academic life and employment.
Futuro ConPR seeks to bridge the gap between an education system that does not address the needs of modern-day students and the lack of opportunities for students to connect with professionals and get insights into career pathways.
Career Pathways & Skill Development
We are launching a pilot program in which professionals from high-demand industries will offer courses designed to blend academic training with practical experiences. This initiative aims to enhance students' non-academic skills (21st-century skills) providing experiences that complement offerings in the academic space with real world applications.
Conveners
ConPRmetidos will act as a convening organization for stakeholders from various sectors—including public, private, and nonprofit—who are actively involved in youth development and have highlighted the need for coordinated efforts to systematically address the challenges facing this population. This initiative will optimize resources, streamline strategies, and enhance our collective impact.
