Given the significant need for technical human capital in Puerto Rico, this project was established to tackle the pressing issue of unemployment by providing thorough training, skill development, and job placement services. During the first cohort, we focused on the construction industry.

Why are we focusing on the construction industry?

After the devastating events of the last six years, the reconstruction of Puerto Rico becomes more urgent than ever. The Association of General Contractors of Puerto Rico estimates that to meet the needs of this industry and continue with reconstruction efforts, it is necessary to add more than 50,000 workers. The great need for human capital with technical knowledge in Puerto Rico has motivated this new ConPRmetidos initiative.

So far, 75 people have received scholarships for these courses.

Would you be interested in acquiring skills in the construction field? Would you like to work in carpentry or joinery? Would you like to help Puerto Rico in its reconstruction process and make the Island prosperous and resilient?

At ConPRmetidos we are committed to the development of Puerto Rico through the training of its human capital, the most important asset that our country has.

ConPRmetidos, together with other entities specialized in developing skills in the construction field, will be offering training courses to contribute to the reconstruction of Puerto Rico and for participants to acquire skills in disciplines related to construction such as carpentry and the cabinetmaking. No prior experience is required to apply.
